Okay so first off I’m not black and I’m not white so I guess I just fall into whatever you call us brown people. Anyway I think that using the argument “If we can’t say it then you can’t say it because it’s still a bad word” is a bit silly because most black people (at least none that I’ve known) have used it in a derogatory way, nor does it hold any ill will when spoken by a black person? I mean, yes it has a bad connotation/denotation, but I see it as sort of how women are reclaiming the names “bitch” and “slut,” or how homosexual people took back the pink triangle. Anyway the point I was trying to make was that I think black people have reclaimed that word and as such are completely acceptable and fine to use within that community. That is just my two cents on the matter, and if I’m wrong about anything then I’m sorry I didn’t realize (◡‿◡✿)
